Kan is an employee at a restaurant. He does fine, but there is a question whether he is suited for his job. Neither customers nor co-workers are in love with him. Kanoko sees potential in him however and eyes him for a job at her new French restaurant. It is soon clear that the restaurant is neither conventional nor putting together a cadre of regular employees.
